Welcome to F. Lofrano & Son Inc.

F. Lofrano & Son is a family owned and operated auto body collision repair shop. We opened for business in 1974. Since then the business has grown to three locations in San Francisco, and later expanded into San Rafael in Marin County.

F. Lofrano & Son Inc. has many years of experience in dealing with every situation that may occur from the moment your vehicle is damaged. We are fully equipped to properly repair and refinish your damaged vehicle. Our technicians receive continual training ensure that your vehicle receives the best possible repair.

Our office staff is very knowledgeable about the often times complex claim process and will see that you are kept informed during the repair process.

Our Company’s History

With a combined 46 years of experience in the auto body collision repair business, Frank Lofrano and his son Tony, opened for business at 1745 Divisadero Street, San Francisco in July 1974. In just a few months time, their workload demanded that they hire a third body technician to handle the needs of the rapidly growing business. Tony’s younger brother Jim joined the business and under his father and brothers guidance learned the trade. Soon after their brother Fred joined the team as well. It was a time when most work was done by hand and long before estimating and management system computerization. We have come a long way.

Over 35 years later, the next generation is bringing new energy into the business with Tony’s sons Aaron and Josh, now in management positions. The organization consists of three repair facilities in San Francisco and one in San Rafael. Currently, the F. Lofrano and Son team is comprised of over 80 employees, with seven family members in the business.

With numerous Direct Repair Programs, customer referrals, and repeat customers, F. Lofrano & Son, Inc. is continually growing and meeting the challenges of the future.

The Lofranos attribute their success to maintaining the original concepts they believed in when Frank and Tony opened their first shop: quality repairs, good customer service and honest relationships with insurance companies, vendors and customers.
